But of course. That's how communism has taken over every unified country. They start by brainwashing the college educated 1 percent because they have the ability to induce the most change in a country. They are viewed as "the future" and "smarter" than the older populations, which makes them ideal book learned moron candidates who can spread a subversive message. They will also do this while viewing themselves as doing good at the same time. Free advertising for the communist party.
They then convince the other 99% to give up their nations birthrights to some random cause that warrants sympathy by the population. This "sympathy" always leads the book learned morons to convince others to pick or even make up a martyr for an excuse to incite a revolution starting with riots. The riots polarize the entire population into picking and choosing sides and leads to the population fighting first among themselves then slowly organizing into what eventually leads into communism.

Almost every single country who has fallen victim to communism has taken this path. Luckily we already have taken this path like 4-5 times and it never ends up working because materialism is fortunately a torpid, blunt bitch. At this point it's just a booster shot, like a "coming of age" ritual where we let the dumbest of our youth learn the hard way why communism is retarded by making them experience a taste of it.
