My main thesis:

Why spend the next 10-20 years building a pointless chemical rocket program to send a few whocares to the Moon or Mars when all we ever get is some pictures and video that half the people say is fake?

Instead spend that time to launch chemical rockets in service of building all kinds of advanced orbital infrastructure, then use that to springboard thousands of people into space and yes colonize it. We can't do both and it seems like all we have now is a stupid pointless vanity project for rich assholes and corrupt governments. But then again maybe you all have no real desire to see space, maybe you enjoy being slaves down here in the gravity well.
