If I put Q dollars in stocks and the stocks become worth 2x as much, I can take out 1/2 of my stocks, get Q dollars back, and still have stocks.

If I put Q dollars in stocks and the stocks become worth 4x as much, I can take out 1/4 of my stocks, get Q dollars back, and still have stocks.

What is the formula for this? What happens when my stocks only produce 20%?

Hey /sci/ could you explain to me why we dont define 0/0 = x to be something like x : x is a number? The expression 0/0 = x is like asking for what x does 0x = 0 and the answer is for all possible x. Multiple expressions have multiple answers like e^x = 1 x can be anything as long as x = i2pi * n where n is natural so really it has infinitely many solutions why can't 0/0 have infinitely many solutions as well?
