Because it produces more energy, right? If that's the case I really don't give a shit about nuclear weapons production.

I'd like to see at least a little more money devoted to Bussard's polywell. I know the Navy is funding it, but I wonder if they really think it could be a viable power source. I'd at least like to see someone build a reactor to the scale that Bussard envisioned, since he believed that scaling up his prototypes would result in net power.

I've read that you could also use them to essentially replace batteries, is that true?

Also, room temperature superconductors mean room temperature superconducting magnets, which means hello breakeven fusion power.
