How likely is it that our universe is a false vacuum or whatever?

Like is it a distant possibility, very likely, unlikely, impossible?

so, if you had to place a bet on why the universe exists, what would it be? and if you like to go further, why anything exists at all. Do the abstract concepts the language of mathematics describes just exist regardless of anything else, and don't really give a shit? Does the universe just exist out of necessity, in that it is simply there in the form of a physical world by consequence of the mathematical language which describes it? Or did God made it, what do you think?

So, can someone who knows more about quantum physics than I do (probably all of you) tell me if I'm understanding this right?

Basically, the gist of this I'm getting is that since we're in a false vacuum, it's possible that vacuum energy can be even lower than it is because the way the Higgs field, and whatever else contributes to vacuum energy works, and the only thing keeping it from going to a lower level is the energy level required to get there in the first place has never been achieved in 13 billion years of exploding stars and black holes.

But somewhere out in the universe, some giant massive freak of nature galactic star on the order of a billion solar masses can go nova, and cause a section of space to go to a true vacuum, and once this happens, it pulls the rest of space with it?

was the big bang a false vacuum decay?

This is just so out of my intellectual reach that it amazes and scares me at the same time.

"Metastability event doomsday scenario"

What the fuck.We could potentially get swallowed up by another bubble universe originating from a more advanced civilization ?
