Just like the science of anatomy and physiology were limited in the past by the technology that could be used to manipulate them, so is psychology only in the most infant steps of understanding the human brain. Hence most psychology is observational, a humble science that proved theories like the circumference of the earth over 2000 years ago. What a tragedy that high school freshman such as yourself should dismiss the science when it needs more resources now more than ever.

You do realize that a grape fruit sized Amoeba is biologically impossible right? It has to be a multicellular organism, because the size of unicellular organisms is finite. The reason is a simple volume to surface area ratio. When cells get too large the surface area of the membrane is much smaller than the volume. The membrane will simply not be able to diffuse enough nutrients.
