Math major here. There were actually a few geology majors in my scientific computing class, but I think the proofs on the first homework assignment scared them off.

On a side note, what are some good applied math graduate programs? I'm considering a master's degree and have a 3.8 in upper division classes, but I have no idea what sort of schools I'd be able to get into.

I can't take NC State seriously because the academics are so unchallenging. The year I went there I barely studied at all and made perfect grades, while at UNC I have to study every day to maintain a 3.6 GPA.
