Has /sci/ used any nootropics while doing or studying science and math? Do they help? Any experiences?

The actually know the standard model you need alot of pre-rec's. >>4548873
is pretty spot on.

The first thing I would suggest you learn is classical lagragian mechanics. Lagragian mech is used just about everywhere in physics.

You know what time it is. Time for me to answer your physics questions (if they aren't too fucking retarded).

Well?

Probably not in the way you are thinking.
FYI: Any objects in relative motions are undergoing "time travel", as each clock is ticking at a different pace. Same shit happens to objects in black wholes, ie; huge time distortion.

>how hard is it to get into theoretical physics research....

Not hard at all.

>gonna do physics and hopefully phd... but what then

Wow, you are asking really really shitty questions. It makes it pretty obvious, that you either have your fucking head up your ass, and a completely fucked up world view, or you really aren't cut out for physics.

You should do what you have a passion for, that is what you should do with you life. If you do that, then you will always be happy. By your question, it is obvious that physics isn't your passion, or you are just very stupid. YOU DO RESEARCH WITH A PHD! THAT IS WHAT YOU WANT TO DO IF YOU HAVE A PASSION FOR PHYSICS! IT IS WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY!

The shitty mentality of getting a job, just to make money, is FUCKING RETARDED. It is the reason the economy failed, and why the world is in such a bad state.

I anit doing the math for you, but I'll get you started.

initial speed = v

your slow down time = t

g = gravity 9.8m/s^2

n = number of g's you will experience

n = v/(g*t)

Then look up what the human body can handle (and compare). Note, it depends on the time you experience the g's, as well as what direction they are in.

>Which do you trust more? Conservation of energy or conservation of momentum?

None.
Those conservation laws only work in very specific physical systems. They do not work in general.

>Where's a good place to work with a physics diploma if you're dumb?

You can work as an engineer in industry, or teaching highschool.

Just perference, personal opinion. Alot of particle physics don't really like the standard model.

However. The standard model works (parts of it), so we use it.........case closed.

Facts don't need to be liked. The universe isn't a bullshit disney fairytale. As long as a theory works, we use it.

String theory is not really a "scientifc theory". String theory is a "scientific hypothesis". Look up the diffference dipshit.

Interesting question, although that is more in the realm or science fiction, then actual science. It is about as scientific as thye bible or santa clause.

The A drive is really nothing more then a "metric". It is just a "specific way for measuring shit" . Anyone can come up with any bullshit metric they want, as long as it is consistant within itself it "works". This is basic Real Analysis.

The physical problems with it are
1) he just made shit up
2) even according to his own made up shit, the energy required is way more then we would ever be able to harness
