Hey /sci/. I'm meeting with a big wig in the Physics department of my uni about research assistant opportunities. I'm pretty new to this academia world and would appreciate any pointers. We are meeting at his office and hes going to give me a tour of one of the research group's labs.
What sort of questions should I ask? What shouldnt I ask? Should I treat this like an interview?

10x-x = 9.99(9) - 0.99(9)
9x = 9
x = 1
0.99(9) = 1
Can't work because

9x = 9(0.99(9)) != 9

If a watch was 99 % accurate, would you buy it?

Im currently awaiting a surgical operation on my leg...again. Faciotomy is what i recieved before, now i need to get it iirigate and debrieded.

Just because i have an infection doesnt mean im going to lose my leg, right? Im going under in 2 hours. I trust my doctor, but hes trained to see the worst case scenarios. i just dont know if i should be as worried as him.
