Yes. The only sciences which I think suffer any sort of suppression are some of the soft sciences, especially economics and sociology. The reason for that is nothing else really threatens the status quo. The discovery of a new type of muon doesn't mean much societally. But when something comes up that goes against the platitudes of the ruling class, well then stuff gets forcefully shoved under the rug.

Sorry for the little /pol/ screed, but I think it was relevant.

Did you guys see what OP just put on /sci/? I thought it was pretty good, but this retarded theological/atheist apologist crap in the "chans" pisses me off. We get it, /sci/. Christfags' opinions don't reflect your own blah blah christians won't frorcefully convert you now. I feel sad for /sci/ when all it is is religion threads that make /b/ look halfway smart.
