So I participated in a couple of fMRI studies a few weeks back at the Neurological Institute of Columbia University for some quick cash and the participant waiver that I had to sign said that I would be contacted if any abnormalities were detected in the course of the studies. I forgot about it after I got the cash and went on with my life until today I got a phone call from a doctor from the Neurological Institute telling me that I have "some damage in your left frontal lobe" and that I should get it checked out again. Of course I immediately asked if it was cancer and he said no, but that he didn't know what it was other than an abnormality or an injury in my left frontal lobe, and that he didn't know who I got it or if I was "born that way."

Give it to me straight /sci/, am I going to be retarded for the rest of my life?

General Damage to the Left Frontal Lobe Thread until someone can answer that.

So, I'm studying, reading, browsing, jogging or doing some usually everyday activity and suddenly I get this intense headache. The intensity is constant, and sudden. They last about an hour or until I get a nap.

The pain seems to be concentrated on the pre-frontal cortex. The "attacks" are random and not very frequent (from thrice a week to once in three weeks).

I'm getting myself checked but in the mean time I would appreciate if /sci/ could suggest a cause. I hope they are just regular migraines but could it be some sort of tumor, or other serious illness?
