There's a serious issue with centrifugal stations, which is we have no idea how to make a bearing that's reasonably smooth and long wearing while being completely airtight and large enough to let people through. Until that issue's solved it's going to remain little more than a dream, as the other two solutions (spinning down the station every time something docks or only having two docking ports along the axis or rotation) are far from ideal.

Oh yeah, it's because people like you are so against the idea of clean, safe energy that we have to keep them running and running until they become unsafe, rather than build new ones.
