I feel like shit. I paid real money from my own bank account to get a place in this colloqium because my Student ID isn't recognized by the math department yet. We have to do group talks in the afternoon for discussions and I really don't know what to do.

Gonna sound dumb but I used to be pretty good at algebra like one of the best in my class (A level maths/BTEC) but now I fucking suck ever since we started calculus, I'm not horrible at calculus but my algebra skills have just deleted themselves anyone else experiences this or just me

hi /sci/, how do i get into math withotu making it frustrating?
i am really interested in physics but they always seem to be very frustrating or difficult to learn.

Anyone doing a master thesis in theoretical physics? I'm starting my Msc. next year and talked to one of my professor about the thesis. He told me to do a lot of reading and come up with a topic myself. I find that a pretty daunting task desu.

I'm thinking about applying my physics knowledge in other branches. Like studying use of path integrals in finance or studying networks.

How did you come up with your topic for your dissertation?
