Are they helpful to the scientific progress or are they just a meme? If they are truly intelligent then why doesn't science use them as some kind of atomic weapon needed to be thrown onto a problem when you need an answer fast?

These autistic savants really fucking intrigue me. This other retard (Kim Peek) has an IQ of 87, but has a perfect memory of every book he's ever read. It's like certain brain regions are re-purposed for savant abilities, thereby leading to a tradeoff.

There was this guy on a student forum who talked like a robot and always asked for scientific reasons for emotion-based things such as these. I'd link his posts but he deleted them after forum members got hold of his number and started prank calling him.
