Ya know, if more gods were hot like this dude and Apollo, maybe I'd be more religious.

If these rockets can be made just as reliable as airliners and be made ready just as quickly, I could see this being adopted
big businesses have to send people across the world frequently, and with flights taking anywhere from 3-12 hours depending on where you go, that's a lot of time lost traveling
If they could get across the world in an hour or less, that shaves a fuckton of time off their schedules, and would let them do more work for their time spent, and thus make more money

Bureaucrats will probably be a nuisance in the beginning, but if the technology proves itself, the corporate interests will probably demand they cut the red tape for it and let it through

I don't think anyone would want to go into that flavour of suffering

a dyson swarm is probably what we'll end up building though, habitats are superior to planets in terms of living space for material, and where else to put them than around the sun for free solar energy

at the end of it all, the guy calls himself a futurist, not a engineer or researcher
he likes taking ideas and old sci-fi shit and talking about them at a basic level for half an hour
he probably doesn't plan to go heavily in depth on shit, leaving that to the viewers if they so decide to

>It also seems that you think the hyperloop is a good idea. Which makes me wonder, why you're even on this board.
why would it not be a good idea once you polish it and work out the kinks, it's no different from a regular subway at a core, it just has a lot more bells and whistles on it
Underground, you don't have the extreme rapid temperature changes that the surface does, you also have free security, in the form of dozens of meters of earth to protect it
There's a lot more to it, no shit, but the idea is Possible, and CAN be an excellent addition to the world if done correctly and competently
it's a shame that Thunderf00t would sooner have an aneurysm from his asspain than give any faith or encouragement to anything he doesn't like

the whole point of putting her there was to dismantle the federal education system, and give the choices back to the individual states, as it was meant to be from the nation's founding
the fact that the federal system is forcing shit like common core, which exists purely to make unthinking cattle at absolute best, the need for it's immediate purging is very clear

then it looks we're SOL on that one
good thing we'd have an entire earth sized planet to work with
we'd probably have 5-10 kilometers of air to expand the balloons into before it started getting too nasty on them, so if we get to the point where we have multi kilometer balloons holding everything up and it's still no good, then we've probably saturated that area with people and industry and can start focusing on spreading shit outward to make use of more area

I bet it's like my energy generators
One of them runs on memes and the other runs on spinning newton
It's a good combination because the harder the first machine runs the faster Newton spins which in turn turns the whole dual machine into a bigger meme which is the fuel source of the first machine
Once you kickstart the reactor with few dank memes the machine accelerates infinitely

Naturally there needs to be some control mechanism and energy extraction, else the machine would implode. For this I came up with control rods that inhibit the reaction and extract the energy in usable form.
There is also a back up system that has a meme sink and "cork" that dissolves that suppresses the system when activated. You see in my experiments I found that energy particles (the real name has fifty three syllables) named P.E.P.E's emanate from the generator, the stronger the meme energy the more PEPE's are created. After some critical threshold a new type of PEPE's start to emerge which I cleverly named rare PEPE's. Now these rare PEPE's have all sorts of nice interactions with regular matter especially meme salts. If the rare PEPE concentration rises too high, the meme salts will dissolve and release the stale memes into the reactor.
Brilliant if you ask me. I use it to power my home and play video games for free.

Does anyone else feel like Spurdo Spärde in class? I'm pretty enthusiastic about learning science and math but I'm still in general chemistry and pre-calculus (mostly simple trigonometric functions) and even those courses are reaming my asshole. It's a great feeling to be struggling on something all night and wake up in the morning with a new perspective and realize I can do it.

But I always feel like that one retard in class who asks the dumbest questions all the time just because I have a hard time keeping up the pace when we're learning live in lecture. Especially when I'm in chem lab and I'm almost ALWAYS the last person to finish up, going overtime now and then.

I just put a stupid grin on my face and try my damnedest.
