Hi /sci/. Asking you guys since /tv/ sucks. My professor has asked us to recommend him some movies that is a good modern bio/chem-related "science movie" that isn't too "sciency". He's already shown us Contagion and Outbreak. So far I've got Gattaca and Carriers. Would love some more. Thanks!

the mechanism your eyes use to make it hurt to look at the sun is, of course, at visible wavelengths. the sunglasses block these, so it makes it more comfortable to look at.
they don't however block the UV/IR, which burn your retinas. and since it's not uncomfortable to look at, you cook your retina like an egg without really noticing it until you're fucked.
