The problem here is that, as you've stated, people are stupid. But it's not just the younger generation, it's all of them. All of them are stupid. All of them are narrow minded. All of them are set, locked down, incredibly needy, and can't hold multiple models in mind at once. Even narcissists and secondary psychopaths, in whom it is claimed their brain is able to excist in a state of constant fairly extreme cognitive dissonance, they too glaringly fail to get away from being set on one idea, one model, one notion. It is sad.

Basically, it's both. The psychosocial impact of screens, social media, and all the affordances of the internet, along with increased exposure to EMR including during gestation. BOTH are at work. We know you don't need to be raised by neglectful, narcissistic, psychopathic parents to have the impairments of autism, we can produce them in animal models just by exposing them to wifi routers. It's all there. It's all known. The Soviets were finding RF exposure destroyed and suppressed multiple brain regions, but especailly the hypothalamus. There are opioid system effects. It damages the dentate gyrus and CA3 region of the hippocampus. On and on.

I think it may be too late. Enough people could already be so severely addicted and cognitively compromised that we cannot dig our way out of this situation without large scale collapse. In rats, gestation causes increased fear behavior, it causes them to re-examine familiar objects as though they're novel. That's autistic behavior. Lack of object constancy is also part of narcissism. Oh, and what does the hypothalamus handle? Social and parenting behaviors.

As people organize to become one God-like hive mind via the internet, and identity is being decoupled from the physical body, we are being stripped down and simplified in the process. The people who claim it's completely natural evolution are dead wrong.
