Hey /sci/ here's the thing

How bad is well, BAD, for a high school math mark if I want to get into a very selective university? I want to go into engineering; my science marks are fine but math is a bit icky. All my other subjects are A+ except for gym because the coaches are sticklers. I'm strong in languages, is that a plus?

tl;dr lowest acceptable math mark to get into a (very) good university known for engineering
