>Believing IQ means intelligence,
>Believing that graph is correct.

That graph fails to say, what is the scale it uses, for example weschler or catell.

If you think intelligence=IQ, then you are probably retarded or really have a low self-esteem.

I got a IQ test when i was 9, and got like 145 in wecherl and 171 in catell aproximately.

And i got another test last year, and i got 142 wechler and 169 in catell.

And even though im kinda intelligent, i solve problems weird ways, and in my head, im not even near to be a genius.

And the fact is that you have to take out 29 points only to put me in the genius, IQ are biased, they correlate, but not causate.

And relying that if you have a high IQ, you are intelligent, just mean how retarded you are for thinking intelligence can be measure.

Can anyone recommend a decent Discrete Structures book for self-study?

Already took the class this past semester, but feel as if I haven't retained enough to prepare me for higher level courses. The text we used was chock full of arithmetic errors and terrible problem sets.

B-ish. Teacher was kind of a softy, though.

>>5281340
Same. That class hit me like a ton of bricks. Retaking it next semester. What did you find most difficult?

For me - our teacher crammed polar/parametric + series/sequences/sums into the last two weeks.

mfw I remembered absolutely nothing about coordinate systems from precal.

Is science a religion ? Science can never prove anything %100. All science have is theories and laws that are accepted for the time, until they are proven to be different. Then the new ones are accepted until they turn out false too. People just believe whatever scientists say even though science was and will be wrong over and over and over again.
Atleast religious books have consistency. They don't change their laws or contents whenever someone comes up with something. And the truth is people who blindly believe in science are far more delusional than people who believe in religion.

How do my fellow /sci/entists deal with this:

>in my final year of a physics degree
>i'd like to concentrate on what i enjoy in it; namely theoretical physics and my main research project
>however we've been assigned, as part of a compulsory module, some bullshit extra group research project on some topic in applied physics which is beyond dull to me
>it's going to be a huge timesink and i can't bear to face it, it's so dull
>but i can't let the group down

aside from complaining to the dicks who assigned this nightmare in my final year, does anyone have any advice (or even experience of shit like this)?
