>70 years after the first grid-connected nuclear power plant, we are still using the retarded and very pollutant petroleum

>50 years after a man steps on the Moon, we don't have a fucking colony (even small) on it

>20 years after the Internet is mainstream (unlimited free knowledge), the population is still primitive dumb as fuck

>15 years after the end of the Human Genome Project (international scientific research project with the goal of identifying and mapping all of the genes of the human genome), molecular medicine is still a fiction

Soon is 2020 and this was not supposed to be our future

I think so, and I also think it could be possible to create a non-organic mind eventually. Although this would be very far in the future.
Also, I don't understand people who genuinely believe in religion and spiritual stuff. It's pretty damn obvious that consciousness is just another mystery of the universe we will solve eventually. The most confusing people are the people with PhD's in some physics field that still hold a religion. Like fuck, did you even read your textbook?

I used to have really bad OCD, anxiety and some depression. I've started taking sertralin (zoloft) last spring. I don't really have OCD and anxiety issues anymore, but I have little to no motivation and get very little sleep. My grades are worse than they used to be (I used to be the best in my class and I skipped a year of HS) and I can't find the energy to make them better. Both my doctor and my parents advise me to continue taking pills or increase the dose. (I'm only taking 50mg right now, but they say I should increase it to 100mg). I think my sleeping issues are the cause for most of my problems, but I don't know if my pills are what's causing it. I don't want to pay for pills my whole life, and I don't want to feel this way either. If I should stop, when should I, and how do I convince my parents?

Where were you when you realized that NPCs have taken over academia and made it impossible to find a career in your field unless you walk and talk like (((them)))?

I love how everyone is pretending to be conservatist saying "it won't work against those damn idiots!" Double agents...

>come on anon, lead pipes never hurt anyone
>jesus anon, it's just a little asbestos in the walls
>for the love of god anon, trans fats are just a safer alternative for saturated fats
This anon gets it. If radio waves were harmful, it would be all over the newspapers and the government would make them illegal to protect us. Since it has not been widely reported in the newspapers, it must not be true.
