First off if you are talking about "force", then you are doing it wrong. Force is a silly idea, that doenst always work. Real Physics doesnt use it anymore. Everything is written in terms of energies. Force is a faggy (engineering) term.
Newtonian mechanics isnt used anymore basically because its all faggy force shit.

"The Broad view" is to look at symmetries, and how they lead to conservation theroems, using the Cal of Vars and Least action. This is done on all levels of physics.
