/sci/, I had a thought.

If gravity is only affected by how much mass an object has, why are black holes so gravitationally attractive? Shouldn't they have the same amount of gravity that their parent sun had?

Clearly, they don't have the same amount of gravity, because the gravitational strength of a star is weak enough to let light escape.

ha, my captcha is universe questions

Can someone explain gravity? I understand Einstein's theory states it is a curvature in spacetime, but what exactly draws objects so far apart together? I'm not sure a understand this "free-falling" effect. What's in the space inside the space that we free-fall in? Is the action of gravity faster than the speed of light? Graphic models show the curve of space time in one plane where mass curves downward, but is it also curved upward? They always show planets coursing through that mesh but never show the spacetime fabric above it.

Every physicsfag asking about how magnets work... That's boring, because the quantistic model is incomplete, if not totally wrong.

Try to explain me why there is gravity, instead.

Two objects with larger mass have a stronger attraction than one of the objects and another with less mass. Shouldn't this mean that, at scales that can probably not be observed, more massive objects do fall at a slightly faster rate without shit like air resistance?

What the fuck is gravity and what caused it to be a fundamental force of nature?

Could you guys give me the lowdown on gravity? The 411, or the skinny, if you wish to call it that.
