Today I was talking to my math professor.
I made the argument that I don't particularly care for math because it seems extremely mechanical to me and doesn't seem to have any applicable use under Linear Algebra. Applicable meaning that it's not purely abstract, that it can be used to create something in reality.
He argued that maths is extremely creative, yet abstract.

Okay so I'm not understanding this at all.
Can someone please explain, using an example a borderline math retard will understand (in calc I right now), why is math considered "creative"?
