SpaceX has figured out a way to create its own demand, with its Starlink project going up. That alone will require lots of rocket launches, and bring in enough profit to fund all sorts of other space ventures.

The US will compete by having a smaller number of much larger rockets, each of which can spew out larger loads of satellites. (And goddamn was that sentence phallic) Space X will likely have more satellites in orbit for its Starlink project than China has total in less than a year.

This here. Starlink money is going to fund the Starship project, which if it comes anywhere close to what Space X is projecting, will let us put up space telescopes that make Hubble look like baby's first Tasco. Plus it will make sending space probes to everything in the solar system that much easier.

The launch looks pretty impressive - Space X has managed to cram 60 of their Starlink satellites into a single rocket. I know that before this announcement most people were predicting they would only be able to fit 20-30 Starlink sats into a Falcon.
