I disagree, that is just one skeleton, which wouldnt prove that entire population dominated that period. And if you set yourself the gap of billions of years you have to account that millions of animals ended at a dead end.

Finding one skeleton that isnt expected for that time frame proves almost nothing since you cant know what is the outlier and what is the work of major adaptation.
