Why? I have apriori knowledge of the white unicorn, for example. If you say that E_kin=m·v^2/2, then this a truth based on the principle F=m·a, which isn't fundamentally true, but an axiom which get's fuzzy as the next physical theory comes along.

What's going to replace oil?

Oil has to be replaced as the main energy source at some point, right.
It's not that much of a pressing issue, for right now we have shit covered. The US is called the 'Saudi Arabia of oil shale'. Colorado has shit loads of oil shale. And the US has lots of coal as well.

But fossil fuels will eventually have to be replaced. The infrastructure we have built, the oil-dependent industries, and basically the whole global economy, will have to be fueled by something else.

What has the potential to not just ease us off oil, but completely replace oil?
