What exactly are you interested in about biomedical?

If you want to work on the mechanical part of neuroprosthetics, you study mechanical engineering. If you want to work on the electronics of the part of the neuroprosthetics, you do electrical engineering. If you want to work on the "neuro" part you do biology or neuroscience. Biomedical engineering is a weird hybrid where you only dip your feet into mechanical, electrical, and biology. It is a meme degree because you are a beginner in several different topics. You will be competing with other students with deeper knowledge/skill sets from Mechanical/Electrical/Biology students for the few niche jobs that require just an undergrad degree.
