I'm trying to devise an experiment to measure the classical and quantum information content of a system.

I'm thinking I can use a measure of the energy of the system to estimate the information content of the system. I'd like as complete of a theory of measurement as I can get in case I can devise an instrument for directly measuring the quantity of information of a system.

7 + 3 x 5 = 50
7 + 3 x 5 = 22

22 != 50

It is a little more complicated to set a qubit than it is to set a bit.
