Actually you would create an infinite amount of portals. Something like my pic.
I don't think that would be possible.

/sci/ what the fuck is wrong with me?
Why can't i study properly? Why every single time i arrive at home from college i feel this urge to play something and end up playing / surfing until my sleep time?
And when i actually get a book and start reading it (which is rare) i start feeling sleepy instantly and can't actually read for more than 10 pages?
Fuck this.

Lets say you had two clocks, both synchronized and at the same location at time 0. In Clock A's frame: Clock B vibrates at 1 cycle per minute, going back and forth at .5c (in A's frame) IGNORE ACCELERATION.

Both clocks take 10 minutes (lab frame) to get to their destination that is 5c mins away. So Clock A has constant velocity .5c (duh).

Do the clocks register the same time at the end of their journey?

I need some help /sci/. I'm writing a base conversion program for my TI-83+, but I'm having rounding issues. For example, when I input .2 to be converted to base 9, the calculator outputs .17171717171717150341... I obviously don't want the user to see all that extra junk on the end. I know that the calculator stores numbers in base 10 to 14 digits of accuracy. I need an algorithm that will tell me the maximum digits of accuracy I can obtain for some arbitrary base B.
I'm not really sure how to go about this. The furthest I've gotten is that a smaller base can display more digits before losing accuracy than a larger one, but I just can't really get further than that.

Likewise; to state that there is no God and to be correct then you are stating that you are omniscient. You must have absolutely certain knowledge that there isn’t one.
Let’s say that a circle contains all the knowledge of the universe. And let’s say that you have an incredible understanding of one percent of all that knowledge. Is it possible that the knowledge you haven’t yet come across, that there might be ample evidence to prove that God does indeed exist?
If you are reasonable, you would have to admit, “Having the limited knowledge I have at present, I believe that there is no God.” In other words, you don’t know if God exists, so you are not an atheist. You are an “agnostic.” You are like a person that looks at a building and doesn’t seem to know if there is a builder.
Test 5 The man who sees a building and doesn’t know if there is a builder is:
A. Intelligent
B. A fool
C. Has an ulterior motive
In summary: There are plenty of things that we have faith in that we do not fully understand. Most of us do not have a complete understanding that when you turned your computer on as to why it worked. You took a step of faith that turning it on… that somehow that it would work. You accept the unseen electrical waves that appear right in front of your eyes when you type your comments here. We do not see the reason for why the messages appear… because the powers that be are invisible to the naked eye. For them to be manifest, we need a monitor… so we can enjoy the experience of this forum.
God is not flesh and blood; He is an eternal Spirit. Immortal and invisible… like the computer waves. He can can not be experienced unless the monitor is turned on. One should approach the Bible in the same way as the monitor. If it works, enjoy it and if it doesn’t, forget it.

But what if instead of following the curve you just kept going "straight"? I'm thinking of the Universe as a sort of giant planet here where normally you would be stuck wandering on the surface of the planet, but with enough energy you can leave the surface and the planet itself. Considering that the universe is constantly expanding it would seem that there would have to be something for it to expand into, no?
