It has often been said that i like launches. My friends, i like launches.
No, friends, i LOVE launches. I love main engine startups, i love max Q's, i love clearance zones, i love holds, countdowns, i love post flight analysis and scrubs.
Launches from peninsula's, from barrier islands, from NATURE RESERVES, in the arctic circle, from deserts, in the sea, in the air, i love EVERY act of launch that can occur upon this earth.
I love blasting people's eardrums to smithereens with booster engines that thunder through the stratosphere. My heart leaps with joy whenever a test article is forced high~ into the air and blown to pieces by well placed flight termination systems!
and there is nothing like a launch director using a rocket to DESTROY government regulations, and the feeling that comes when a beetle runs screaming from a blazing launch pad, only to be frozen by runoff liquid nitrogen is such an exquisite view.
Like when ranks of boomer boats brandish their monster energy rushing into the marine exlusion zone. It moves me deep within my heart to watch an fresh engineer cutting over and over into an uneven carbon nozzle...
