this thread was here yesterday. janitors have no discretion, they follow the rules, all the rules, and nothing but the rules.
thats the 3 /sci/ specific rules, and the global rules. you cannot just ban whatever you like, if you do, then the posts logged against your name as janitor will be reviewed, and it will be clear you have acted in error, and you janitor priviledges will be removed for abusing the system.

janitors dont have much power, but i am thinking i will also apply (i'm on here often enough, i may as well make the board a bit better while i'm at it, if they accept me)

you will have to follow the rules to the letter, personal opinion cant come into it at all.
so you can ONLY delete homework threads, and religion threads
religion threads are often enough, but for homework threads, suspecting it as being homework isnt enough.
if the OP actually states "i got this to do for homework..." or some shit like that, then they are absolutely fucking retarded, and you may delete the thread.
obviously you enforce the global rules as well, and i think you are allowed to delete anything that is clearly not science related as well (seeing as it is on the wrong board)
