They don't really have broader shoulders. Some do but most don't. Black people in general have a wider spectrum of body types. Reason why some black men have the appearance of broader shoulders is because they have much smaller torsos. Have a look at this photo. Both of them are about the same height, but look at the position of their belly buttons. The black guys belly button sits much higher than the white dudes.
