Can it be coming out of the closet time?

Bakcground info: I'm 18 years old, male, finishing high school in a few months, and then I'll be going to college. I figured tonight was time enough to come out to my parents.

So, it was about half an hour ago. I decided I would do it. I rang my boyfriend. He was very supportive. His parents didnt mind, according to him so I was re-assured slightly. Though my parents are less liberal then his so I'm still a little worried

Anyway I took 3 shots of vodka first and waited ten minutes for the alcohol to take effect. I went in. "Parents, I have something to say". Oh god, a romantic movie was on, and they were snuggling. Made me uncomfortable. "What is it son?" They said in unison. They did that alot.
"I-I"
"Yes, son?"
I decided to wait. I brushed it off to later, laughing and said "ah, ill wait for this bit of the movie to end".

So I walked out and waited another ten minutes. Rang my boyfriend again, told him how it was hard (hurr durr not in that way).

So anyway, nothing really happened. I went in and blurted it out. "Mom and Dad, it's time I finally told you. I'm majoring in engineering. I'll be starting my engineering major next september"

They turned off the TV and told me to leave while they had a small chat.
What can I expect to happen next?
