We now have the technology to directly observe exoplanets and their atmosphere. We can finally detect life on exoplanets.

Why the fuck is this not the top priority or every space agency to put those things in space? Who the shit gives a crap about rate of expansion or black hole physics? Yes those things matter but if we discover life on alien worlds this means interest in space exploration would go up 100 times.

How the shit is this not a top priority for everyone? Almost everything else is ultra boring for average John and it's the public interest that decides how much $$$ space agencies get.
