Their messaging really was pretty strange.

Man, New Glenn makes me sad. It was really cool at the time of announcement, and it's still a cool rocket, but competing against Starship? It's lost its edge and they're so far behind that I worry if it will ever exist at all. The whole situation is bizarre. It's like they spent the last half decade working on the facilities needed for the rocket but forgot about the actual rocket.
Also I don't really trust their oldspace mentality to get it right. The rocket is going to be expensive as fuck so it must be cheap to reuse and able to BE used a large number of times. Not an easy problem.

There's literally no point to hydrolox when you can subcool methane. Would be easier all around as well.
