>Oh look a Cern bot with zero to show from billions in grants coming to sniff at actual progress
nice reading comprehension
this thread is about theory growing while there is nothing to support it nor there are any practical applications. This results in some kind of mass delusion that we are at the brink of understanding all of the universe.
It criticizes also current theoretical framework used in CERN

>Finite set edition
Assume the Axiom of Pairing, Infinity and Separation and the Law of Excluded Middle.
Denote by [math]{\mathbb N}[/math] our model of the naturals and denote the Continuum Hypothesis by [math]{\mathsf{CH}}[/math].

Consider
[math]S_{\mathsf{CH}}:=\big\{n\in{\mathbb N}\mid (n<5) \lor {\mathsf{CH}}\big\}[/math],
a subset of [math]{\mathbb N}[/math].
Either [math]\neg{\mathsf{CH}}[/math] or [math]{\mathsf{CH}}[/math]. In the first case, [math]S=\{0,1,2,3,4\}[/math] and in the second, [math]S_{\mathsf{CH}}={\mathbb N}[/math]. The identity in either case is a bijection to a finite resp. countably infinite set.

We conclude that [math]S_{\mathsf{CH}}[/math] is either a finite or an infinite set.

Do you agree with this fine piece of math?

Yesterday..
>∙What textbooks, papers or text did you read today?
I read some Harvard students course notes, but it was a bit shallow. He was probably young when he wrote it and I'm a tad beyond that.
It was on group and set theory.
∙What non-textbooks did you read today?
I read a few pages from a book on motivation
∙Did you write something today?
Only copied over some notes from said notes.
∙Did you do some programming today?
x
∙Did you build something today?
x
∙Did you clean up something today?
:/
∙Did you plan something today?
The next day. Today I have to work despite it being Sunday.
∙Did you manage to work off some bureaucracy/paper work today?
I procrastinated on it again..
∙Did you practiced any skills today? If so, which?
I met some people irl that I didn't know which is always good progress I think
∙Did you do sports/cardio/weightlifting today?
Haven't done sports in weeks
∙What were you eating today?
coffee and chocolate
∙How much sleep did you get yesterday?
I slept long so a bunch - but at what cost
