/k/ is shit right now; that's why I'm here. But yeah, if you're into this sort of thing, intellectual discussion does come up every once in a while. I bet you guys would've had a field day with our pogo thread a couple days ago...

Mad? No. Dissapointed? Absolutely. Though I suppose it was my folly to expect any better from a board on 4chan.

I eventually settled in on /k/ because nearly half of the content is actually somewhat on-topic, and a good portion of the non-serious content is quite humor-filled, unlike this place where everything is srs bsns. Plus, /k/ has its fair share of in-depth engineering-related discussion, which appeals to my interests.

I've recently taken a liking to /n/, despite their generally more serious attitude; the extremely slow nature of the board keeps the riffraff out, trolling is all but unknown to them, and nearly all dialogue/real discussion is on-topic and wholesome (if a bit slow-paced). /n/ has a crapflooding problem, but these trash threads rarely get replies, and it's easy to periodically sift through the 15 pages and bump the good threads back on top.

Anyways, I'm gonna make one last quick scan for interesting threads here, and if nothing turns up I'm gonna go back to my "space transportation" thread on /n/.
