DONE.

True /sci/ducks, plz follow suit. If it's not too much to ask, we'd like to talk about Science & Math over here at 4chan Science & Math. I know you religious folk aren't the brightest, but do your best.

How do you get god-tier at organic chemistry if you have no more classes to take?

I took orgo I and II at my university a couple years ago, and I now know dick about it. When I mean god-tier, I mean god-tier. What do I practice?

>is it possible to 'borrow supplies' from universities?

Depends on the university. At a cheap school they lock everything up while at Princeton, everything is open and unguarded (at least during the summer when their only grad students/slaves). Although you still need to get someones password if you want to use NMR and similar machines.

Not that I know any of this from experience....

Any of you /sci/ducks have an e-reader that you use for pdfs of papers and things like that?

I read a lot of papers; reading them on the computer screen tends to hurt my eyes and printing them all out is a pain in the ass and a waste of paper.

Anyone have experience?

That's somewhat comforting, from this single data point I'll irresponsibly draw the conclusion that I'm doing well in the eyes of everyone save for those who observe this thread.

How does an obligately acidophilic iron oxidizing bacterium like thiobacillus ferrooxidans rely on both the acidic environment and ferrous iron to conserve energy?

Anyone willing to share their insights about vaccines? I know it can be a very controversial topic and will likely be a troll magnet as well, however, I'm interested to get /sci/s perspective on to topic of vaccines.

Levels of mercury harmful? Increases of mental developmental disorders? Alternate motives with vaccination programmes? Efficacy of vaccines?

Personally I think anyone who thinks 'Big Pharma' is trying to kill their child doesn't deserve to reproduce in the first place. But I am open to reasoned arguments.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=MT7LM47C

should be 7 papers in there on things like iPS cells, stem cells in dealing with oligodenrocytes I think, and some direct conversion of one cell type to another (not really stem cell based, but wanting to get around having to take a cell back to a stem cell and then redifferentiate it)

Only ones that originated here were "bowling ball", "cross out mass", "E=C", and "Stephen Hawkings", all of which come from the same youtube video.

Oh yeah, and /sci/duck. Can't forget about him.

We /sci/entists are tired of questions like "will it move?" and other posts that shows images of cars, trains, etc, moving just with the force of a magnet on a pole...

Therefore i suggest a new addition to the rules of /sci/:

"No "will it move" questions." and optionally a link to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thermodynamics for further study of the topic.

Since i'm not moot, or any type of mod, i only suggest this and hope you will agree with me by replying to this post. (Prefferably with nametag if you use it)
