Magnets are magnetized when a lot of atoms in the magnet are aligned. Constant jolting of a magnet (like shown in these videos) or heat causes them to become misaligned and they lose their magnetization and their "power".

It never ceases to amaze me how gullible people are… even on a board such as this one.
