If quantum physics and general relativity contradict each other but are both correct, does this mean modern physics is a complete mess that needs fixing soon before it can be considered credible and objective?

That's an interesting thought actually. I'm not aware of anything that could make something like that possible, but it's interesting to think about.
Also, a question to anyone with the right answer. What would happen if a black hole were to split open (I know that isn't possible but humor me), and it's singularity were exposed? Would that destroy our universe? Or do something else? Or maybe I'm retarded.
