Minkowski space is predicated on the idea of four-dimensional vectors of which one component is time. However, one of the properties of a vector space is that every vector have an inverse. Time cannot be a vector because it has no inverse.

Hey /sci/, I'd like to try finding my own solution to the Einstein Field Equations, but I can't figure out what "tensors" are supposed to be and frankly I'm getting tired of them. Can someone please write out the equations out as good old-fashioned differential equations? I'm pretty handy with those. Got an A in the course, as a matter of fact.

What evidence do we have that the speed of light is a constant? Is it plausible that its speed has been diminishing with time, creating the illusion of a billions of years-old universe that actually began, oh, <picks random number> 6000 years ago?
