already looked into making a power-suit, let a lone a mech, talked it out with a team of engineers and we had designs and experimented with everything

it's practically fucking impossible to make it without wiring it to a power source and designing the mechanism to create a fluid/responsive movement, as well as making it safe to even operate. we just don't have the technology yet to power something that intensive in a portable form that would fit a reasonable design, or the technology to create anything mechanical in a humanoid constraint that would be fluid or safe enough to operate, and that's just talking power suits, let alone a fucking mech, which would always be useless and much, much more expensive and not worthwhile in any way.

tl;dr not possible yet, sorry. maybe in ten years we could start
