Over here we bore deep vast underground tunnels into the bedrock, where the waste gets sealed away. We also don't have earthquakes or other major natural disasters here, yet still people oppose building more nuclear plants. Sure building the plant is expensive, but it's so much more efficient than wind turbines could ever hope to be. Solar also isn't viable in our latitude, and as far as I'm concerned, sealing rivers with hydro plants isn't very green
