I drink water out of one of these gallon jugs, and I refill it with tap water. After about a month of two, black mold starts to build up in the mouth area, because it's got these ridiculous Montgomery Glands that make it impossible to really clean it out. I still drink out of that for a long time, at least a few weeks, and once there's a "cookies and cream" style appearance, then I start to consider changing it, not because I "feel sick", but just because I feel guilty due to social expectations and since "It's only $1 so I shouldn't be upset about changing it out"

I'm just coming to say that all of this nonsense like "This that or the other gets you sick", it's just hypochondria most of the time. There's nothing about mold that makes you sick. It doesn't even affect the taste of the water. It's just normal, and I've never gotten sick from that.

The crazy paranoia of people saying "oh that's bad and will make you sick". It's just ridiculous. I'm stariing at you, 100% not sick at all, and I've done this for fucking 15 years, and you're just telling me "that will make me sick", despite having absolutely nothing to justify this argument beyond some irrational childlike fear of "omg scary black mold stuff".

Doctors need to come out and say "This laundry list of "spooky germs" won't make you sick unless you're a massive pussy or have AIDS or some shit, so stop complaining about it or stop being a pussy or stop having AIDS".
