I'm in a slight pickle here.
I have been looking for a PhD for a few months now, and applied to several ones. From which I got two positive answers.

The first one is situated south of my home country, in a second-tier but nice and chill city, and far from my family, which is also nice. The subject is pretty nice, but it's pretty much uncharted in terms of advances in that particular topic, which means that I may or may not receive adequate advising from the professor. The good point about this, is that i'm going to be able to go to Singapore for a few months to do my experimental data at a top of line lab there, probably by the end of the PhD. Singapore being quite litterally my long-term dream. These guys were the first I said yes to. The advisor, which is a pretty nice professor, already sent me a few pdfs of textbooks to read before it starts this Oct.

The second one is situated at the capital, which obviously gets you all the advantages of a capital, everything's nearby, every interesting scene (i'm talking everything ranging from high tech startup forums to whatever artistic scene one may be into). The dude who accepted me is doing what we call her a "joint phd" with a private company. I already got a refusal from a company that was using him as a phd advisor, but the guy really liked my dossier, and forwarded it to another company for another joint phd; and they were totally ok with it. The professor was extremely nice in so that he really made it sure that i would get hired and get the contract done, and is a very capable well reputed guy (I know this from safe sources in said field).

so both guys are really nice, but i just have litterally no fucking idea what to choose. Saying yes to one of them will definitely disappoint the other, as the first ones practically believe that i'm theirs, and the second one has been busting his ass to help me out. If there are more elements you might want to know and that i forgot to mention, don't hesitate to tell me.
