You'd be better off doing applied math and using honors courses/courses meant for pure math majors to fill up your pure math requirements. At my uni, you can go through the entire pure math major and only one or two classes will ever require you to write a line of code. You'll have a skillset about as marketable as an art major's. Sure, you can argue that pure math makes it easier to learn the trivial brainlet skills engineers and CS majors walk out with on your own time, but if that's the case why not just cut out the middle man and learn to code in that time if you're gonna have to anyway? If your IQ is high enough for pure math, you'll roflstomp all the /g/ tier retards in an applied math or engineering/CS department.
