I believe that using advancements in telescope technology we can someday image planets like that. Anything is possible.

Nothing. It's not like that. What scares me is looking at high-resolution photos of nebulae and dust clouds and trying to take in the sheer uncomprehensible size of what I'm seeing. You look at something like pic related and at first glance it looks somewhat familiar; you can comprehend that it's a cloud of dust, much like ones that appear on earth. But you keep looking and you see all these details, it's suspended in space and you see all the stars and the realization slowly dawns of how horrifyingly enormous even a single speck of that dust must be, that the Earth wouldn't even take up one pixel of that image. Your gaze tries to trail up and down but it's futile, it's utterly impossible to fully grasp the otherworldly eldritch scale of this thing. It even looks somewhat sinister - the dark wing- or cloak-like shape of some of the formations, the red stars that gleam like knowing eyes, the cut-off base at the bottom of the image that suggests that this is merely the tip of a much larger iceberg. I have a weird feeling in the back of my neck.

Nebulae fucking terrify me. Just looking at the thumbnail makes me feel weird. Looking at higher resolutions strikes fear into my core. Something about how incomprehensibly huge they are, just floating there in the vast blackness of space. It's like deep sea phobia x10. Fucking eldritch.
