Holy shit, I think I just discovered a way to travel back in time. I just went back an hour!

So this is probably a stupid question but I cant find anywhere in the book that explains it. I have the answer and limits of an integral, but I dont have the function. Is there a way to find the f(x) from here? thanks!

Okay, I know 0.999... = 1 because

1/3 = 0.333...
*3
1= 0.999...

But can you use the following as proof as well?

x=.999...
10x = 9.999...
10x - x = 9.999... - .999...
9x = 9
x = 1

Because you're substracting infinite numbers, wich seems to make no sense ...

yeah they aren't in any of those either, thanks for trying though. I refuse to believe that cannot acquire these for free somewhere on the internet. they HAVE to be somewhere, right?

You can't even argue that OP's pic is wrong since time is the same everywhere, only that we label it differently, because fuck you Einstein

First let me assure you, this is not a homework help thread. I am on winter break and I took Calculus and Discrete Structures last semester and I passed them both but I really don't get certain things, such as integrals.

I am trying to do some extra studying before Calculus 2 next semester but I just don't get it. Could somebody answer this problem for me and then explain the answer? I feel like if I had this explained to me it would help a lot, thanks.

Find the integral from -2 to 2 of
sqrt (1+(e^x - e^(-x))^2 ) dx

inb4 it's just proof of water ice on asteroids or something unimportant like last month's announcement.

those are just some examples i mean were talking about PLANETS all kind of shit could go wrong im not saying exactly THAT will go wrong but the amount of shit that could go wrong living on another planet is...well...alot.
