Where are they going to put all the solar panels?

The ISS, which has roughly the same pressurized volume as the Starship, and which only holds a crew of about 10, needs all these solar panels.

The ISS can only accommodate about a dozen crew at one time, and it needs all of these solar panels and radiators.

How can the Starship accommodate 100 crew without anything?

When are we going to get a real space station built for permanent habitation instead of this stupid fucking $150 billion workout room for 6 people?

Are there any novels that talk about what would happen to the ISS inhabitants if, say, there was a world ending event? Seems like the better place to ask than /lit/ because I'm not opposed to reading any sort of official document on what they're supposed to do in the event there is total loss of communication either.

How long would the ISS potentially last if all maintenance and stuff ceased? Not just food, I mean regular orbit corrections and things of that nature. There's a small possibility it would be the only thing left of human civilization for awhile if something truly catastrophic happened.

Instead of deorbiting the ISS, why not just devise a mission to dock some boosters onto it and launch it out to a stable lunar orbit?

So Earth is orbiting the Sun because of the Sun's gravity. If this is the case, why aren't astronauts in the ISS (or the ISS itself) being pulled toward the Sun?

So what happens when the ISS is decomissioned in 2025 ?

Do space agencies nowadays have the budget to put something back up ?

Will it be the end of continuous manned spaceflight ?

One of the former International Space Station commanders is coming to my job Monday to pal around with us for an hour. Can't remember his name.

What questions should I ask him?
