On every test add a page of #Woke problems like "Describe how your garbage homework grades are wypipo's fault". Weight them lower than other problems relative to the amount of time required. Give full points to anyone who does them no matter what they wrote and zero to anyone who skips them, then grade the test on a curve. Students who skip them will effectively get extra credit.

Suppose we have a computer that is initially running at a speed of 1 instruction/second. Furthermore, this computer has an instruction to double its speed with (that is: executing that instruction the first time has the effect that from then on the computer executes 2 instr./sec; executing it once more changes the speed to 4 instr./sec. etc.)

Suppose we have the following program:

10 double speed
20 goto 10

Does this program terminate ? If it does, when ? If not, after how many instructions do we exceed the running time of 1 minute ?

Fact 1) There are parts of the universe that are so far away from us that light could not have reached us from there in the time the universe has existed.

Therefore, things that happen or have happened in these parts of the universe have NO EFFECT on anything happening here.

Fact 2) There are numbers so high that it is impossible to even represent them given all the matter in the universe.

Therefore: These numbers cannot have any effect on actual math as humans can understand it.

Assume you are locked in a room with a perfect clone of your current self. There are no doors, no windows, no cracks. That clone will completely disappear in one hour, and then you will be released from the room by, let's say, robots. No one will see what you do, no one will ever know what happens, no one on the outside world will ever even know that you were locked in a room with your clone for an hour.

wat do?

A girl, a boy, and a dog are standing at the same spot on a sidewalk. The girl and boy start walking in the same direction with the girl moving at 3 mph and the boy moving at 4 mph. As they walk the dog runs back and forth between them moving at 10 mph. Assuming that the dog turns around instantaneously each time, which direction is the dog facing after two hours?
